Dr. Harshal Rajekar

Dr Harshal Rajekar is a Liver transplant, hepatobiliary, and GI surgeon practicing at The Liver Pancrease Clinic in Baner Pune. He completed his training in transplant surgery, and liver and pancreas surgery completing multiple fellowships in New Zealand, Singapore, USA, and India.

He was a consultant at PGIMER, Chandigarh; where he helped set up the liver transplant program. Dr Rajekar then came to Pune in Sept 2012, at Ruby Hall Clinic; and did Pune city's first liver transplant. He was instrumental in the setup of Ruby Hall Clinic's Liver transplant Program. In

In 2015 he helped in the setting up of a liver transplant program at KEM Hospital, Pune.

Dr Rajekar was part of the first team at Jupiter Hospital to start liver transplantation at its Baner campus.

Now, Dr Rajekar heads the liver transplant program at Inamdar Hospital, Wanowrie, Pune.

Dr. Rajekar specializes in complex problems involving the liver, pancreas, GI tract, and gastro-intestinal cancers, including portal hypertension, chronic pancreatitis, pseudomyxoma peritonei, hepatocellular cancer, gall bladder stones, other gall bladder disorders,  and pancreatic cancer.
