He was a consultant at PGIMER, Chandigarh; where he helped set up the liver transplant program. Dr Rajekar then came to Pune in Sept 2012, at Ruby Hall Clinic; and did Pune city's first liver transplant. He was instrumental in the setup of Ruby Hall Clinic's Liver transplant Program. In
